Thomas Isao Morinaka

Thomas Isao Morinaka was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. He received a BA in Theatre with Honors from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa where he devoured all the information he could find on Japanese Theatre and history as well as stage combat and stunt training. He has taught stage combat and performed in theatres all across the country, most recently in Phoenix, AZ where he played the role of Song Liling in Nearly Naked Theatre's production of M. Butterfly. Other credits include: Bun Foo in Thoroughly Modern Millie (Sierra Repertory Theatre), Dogberry in Much Ado About Nothing (Two Roads Theatre), Kawabata in Take Me Out (Artists Repertory Theatre), Woodcutter in Rashomon (Sierra Repertory Theatre), Bozo in Our Hearts Were Touched With Fire (Japan America Theatre).
