JULIA EDWARDS was recently a finalist for The Bay Area Playwrights Festival, The O’Neill Playwrights Conference, and The Heideman Award at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Her play The Rats are Getting Bigger received a reading in The Public’s New Work Now festival and was produced in the NYC International Fringe Festival. She was commissioned by South Coast Repertory to write Lockdown which was subsequently produced there and at local high schools. She has worked with LAByrinth Theatre Company (NYC), Salvage Vanguard Theatre (Austin), Printer’s Devil (Seattle), Collaboration (Chicago), Echo Theatre Company (LA), The Road Theatre Company (LA), and Circle X, among others.
