Charles Janasz is an Associate Artist of San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre where he appeared last summer as Menenius Agrippa in Coriolanus. He has also been a leading company member and returning guest artist of Washington, D.C.’s Arena Stage and Minneapolis’s Guthrie Theater. He has worked on Broadway, at The NY Shakespeare Festival, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Seattle Rep, Center Stage, Playwrights’ Horizons, The Ahmanson, The Geffen Playhouse, The Empty Space, La Jolla Playhouse, Seattle Rep, Huntington Theatre Co, and The Walker Art Center. He has played Richard II, Puck, Uncle Vanya, Harpo (in both Animal Crackers and The Cocoanuts), Polonius, Pericles, Oswald (in Ghosts), both Jack and Algy, Scrooge, Edmund (in Lear), Jacques, Solyoni, Elyot Chase, Touchstone, Joseph K, Yepikhodov, Freud, Salieri (twice), and a gorilla, among others. He’s been on TV and radio too. Training: The University of Washington and the Juilliard School. Proud member of Actors’ Equity since 1980.
